Class & Mentorship
What does a class mentor do?
The class mentor will connect with you regularly to check that you are on track and progressing. The class mentor will decide when you are ready to move up a level.
ALL Sihambe students start in a Grade 3 class. Depending on your learning gaps, you might spend one day in the Grade 3 class, or several weeks in the Grade 3 class. From Grade 3 you move to Grade 6, Grade 9, Grade 10, Grade 11, and then finally Grade 12.
Your Sihambe class and grade may not be the same as your school grade and class.
Learning Materials
Will I need to buy textbooks?
No, all the learning material is provided online. You will need to download it. You can print it at your own cost if you want to but we do not recommend that.
When will I get access to the material?
After registering, you will be placed in a class and be given access to the material that you need to succeed in that class.
Progression from One Class & Grade to the Next
How will I know if I am ready to progress to the next Grade?
Your mentor will ask you to write an online assessment and based on the results we will decide with you.
